The organization shall focus on continually ensuring the highest standards of health and safety in the workplace.

  • Training and educating staff on environment, health and safety-related activities.
  • Development, documentation and implementation of production procedures that supports the manufacture of user friendly products.
  • Effective conservation of energy and natural resources.
  • Waste control and management procedure is in place and applied accordingly.
  • Ensure the safety/storage of any inflammable substances.
  • Ensure safe use of electricity and electrical appliances.
  • Identifying and controlling conditions that may impact environment, health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure safe use of electricity and electrical appliances and Provide early warning system i.e. (fire detectors & alarms).
  • Establish a well trained fire fighting team in addition to subjecting all personnel to fire education/training.
  • Meeting all applicable external and internal regulatory requirements.
  • Reducing pollution, preventing injury and ill health by adoption of continuous improvement and prerequisite programs (PRPs) to conserve good environment, health and safety.
  • Provide and maintain adequate/suitable fire fighting equipment/appliances and are easily accessible.
  • Ensure routine inspection of buildings and other infrastructure.
  • Provide clearly marked fire exists that are free from obstruction.
  • Provide fire instructions to the staff in an informative way so that employees know what to do in the event of a fire outbreak i.e. Emergency Response Plan.
